It’s been my dream to open my own bookstore for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family of readers, and I inherited that same love of reading. About 10 years ago, the name Hyperbole Books came to me. The word “hyperbole” means an over-exaggeration, so a few friends and I have had a lot of fun coming up with exaggerated taglines for my shop like “the single greatest bookshop on the planet.”

I researched different options for opening my bookstore and decided that a pop-up model would be best and set to work building a cart (with some help from my dad, thanks Dad!) to display the books and later added some bright shelves to go with it. Now I’ve been popping up all over the river region for almost a year and I’m so excited to continue bringing books to people! Here’s to more books in 2026!
